The Gateguard Speed Detector combines a camera with a built-in radar to watch the internal streets of your community. When a vehicle exceeds the speed limit set by the neighborhood, the system reads its plate, identifies it in the database, creates the record and notifies both the administration and the resident — even if the vehicle is a visitor's.
When the radar detects a vehicle exceeding the community speed limit:
The built-in radar measures the speed of every vehicle on the internal street, in real time.
Once the violation is confirmed, the camera reads the plate with Gateguard's vehicle recognition AI.
The plate is matched against the Gateguard database and the event is logged with evidence in the system journal.
The administration and the linked resident receive an immediate alert, with image, plate and recorded speed.
If the speeding vehicle belongs to a visitor, the system identifies it by plate and links it to the residence that authorized the visit. The resident gets the notification and knows their guest exceeded the speed limit — responsibility for every entry is shared, not lost.
If the administration enables it, the system applies an automatic warning scheme: after accumulating a set number of speeding warnings, penalties on the resident or visitor access denials are triggered. Rules, thresholds and sanctions are configured by the administration and applied objectively, with no manual intervention.
On the internal streets that need speed control: main entrances, internal avenues, school zones or high pedestrian-traffic areas.
