Smart audio intercom: visitors reach you without a prior invitation

With the GateGuard SG smart audio intercom, a visitor who arrives unannounced can reach the resident from the totem's video intercom. They dial the home's number or assigned alias, such as 5001; if they don't know it, they can look it up by scanning the QR code on the totem and then dial it. The call connects directly to the resident for a private, person-to-person conversation. If the resident approves entry, they open the gate by pressing #1 on their phone without hanging up. Exit works the same way, using the phone's keypad tones (DTMF).

In communities that operate without gatehouse guards, an unannounced visitor had no simple way to reach the resident: entry depended on awkward calls or prior arrangements, and the resident had no control over the gate at that moment.
